UX/UI Design + Collaboration (6 Designers)
Software Used: Miro +Figma + Adobe Photoshop
Despite a vibrant arts scene in Northwest Arkansas, access and visibility remained limited. Many artists struggled to showcase their work and promote events, while art enthusiasts found it difficult to discover local artists, workshops, and exhibitions. Our research revealed low turnout at art events and accessibility challenges for diverse groups, including working professionals, single parents, and youth. A centralized, user-friendly platform was needed to bridge the gap between artists and the community.
Research & Design Approach
Design research focused on understanding the regional art ecosystem through interviews, observations, and community insights. I helped conduct research, develop personas, and map user journeys, guiding key UX/UI decisions and ensuring the app responded to real community needs.
Final Design
The final interface draws from familiar social media patterns to support intuitive navigation and user engagement. A customizable filter system allows users to discover events by location, time, and interests, while personalized recommendations connect users with artists and activities. Artists can share work, host critiques, and create public event posts, building a dynamic and accessible platform that supports both creative expression and community connection.
