Phung Boutique: Heritage Crafted for Everyday
Logo + Brand Identity

Phung Boutique is a contemporary fashion and lifestyle brand inspired by Yakthung cultural heritage and reimagined for everyday use. The identity draws from the Samfaphung, a traditional ornamental headpiece worn by Yakthung women that symbolizes the sun and flower—forms associated with vitality, beauty, and continuity. The name Phung, meaning “flower” in the Yakthung language, reflects growth, care, and cultural memory embedded in design.

The logo is also informed by Layap, a Yakthung visual motif composed of eight interconnected circles representing lunar phases and cycles of time. Combining these references, the geometric form becomes both symbolic and versatile, extending into repeatable patterns that can be applied across boutique products such as socks, ties, and packaging.

The color palette balances heritage and contemporary appeal: gold and saffron reference ornamentation and warmth, crimson evokes traditional textiles and strength, deep blue suggests depth and continuity, while soft blue and warm off-white provide balance inspired by sky and natural materials. Together, the system positions Phung Boutique as a brand that translates cultural symbolism into modern, everyday design.
